Rules for Life

Main Idea:

The psalmist wrote: “The earth belongs to the Lord, and all that is in it”, Psalm 24:1 (NIV). God is the author of creation and He trusted us to care for and nurture it. We do this by taking responsibilities, ranging from the work we need to do to the people we meet as well as the words we use. Life is full of times when we can choose to reflect God’s character, take responsibility, and use what we have wisely.

 

When we go along and do what needs to be done, we can point Jesus to others, for He is the One who took ultimate responsibility for us and made it possible for us to be with God forever.

Verse to memorize:

“Whoever is faithful with a little is also faithful with a lot, and whoever is dishonest with a little is dishonest with a lot.”

• Use Gentle Words (Ephesians 4:29)

Application for life:

Accountability is demonstrating that what is expected of you can be trusted.

Basic truth:

I must treat others the way I want to be treated.
