Kids Material From 07 Yrs

August 2021

5KM Run the Race

Main Idea:

Growing in faith is not something that happens merely by putting more information about the Bible into a child’s brain. All that knowledge in your head means nothing if we don’t help children experience what that knowledge can do in their hearts. To experience faith fully, we want children to practice their faith. And that requires commitment.

God fulfills all of His promises and puts His plans into action. Because God followed these plans, we have the chance to live with Him forever.

We reflect God’s commitment to us when we make a plan and stick to it. This month, we’ll help children discover that one of the best plans they can make is to commit to an ongoing relationship with Jesus.

Commit to practicing your faith by reading God’s Word, praying consistently, talking about Him with friends, and living that faith every day.

Verse to memorize:

“Exercise is of little use; godliness, however, is profitable for everything, because it has the promise of the present and the future life.”

1 Timothy 4:8, NIV

This month we will learn:

  • Jesus and the Children (Luke 18:15-16)
  • Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42)
  • The Centurion (Matthew 8:5-13)
  • The Grateful Woman (Luke 7:36-50)

Application for life:

Commitment is making a plan and putting it into practice.

Basic truth:

I can trust God no matter what.
